I was bad today

I had a slip up in training today. In week 2 of my training, my owner knows that I will try and see if they are ready to become the "Alpha" of our pack...that means I am going to test the waters. Needless to say, I did just that. I am currently being ignored by my mom. I nipped at her today. I was supposed to be sitting at the door like a good boy (before we go on our walk), waiting for my next command. Out of nowhere a big pit bull walks by our stoop. I got territorial (which I shouldn't be doing). Mom tried to correct my behavior and I almost nipped her. So today was not a good day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Shiba Cam!

So today I got to watch the "FAMOUS" Shiba cam. It was all very interesting. I turned my head a lot, when I heard the pups make noises. I also just stared in amazement, and then tried to smell the screen. Mom was able to capture the moment...

Thank God for the FURMINATOR!

With warm weather, comes my heavy shedding time. Today is a bit gloomy, so mom thought it would be a perfect time to "furminate" me with the Furminator. It almost looks like we have another dog from all the fur we were able to remove. I am much happier with a thinner coat, for this hot weather. The sad thing is dad, furminated me four days ago, with just as much or maybe more fur that was removed.

It is a sunny Saturday!!!

When I am done playing out in the sun, I like to go to my favorite spot in the house. My spot is on the back of the couch and part of the credenza that looks out the bay window. I like to see what the heck is going on...and keep my eye out for the mailman (who I am not a big fan of). I am also still getting used to my new food, so I am relaxing in my spot, and tooting A LOT! I think we are going to the beach tomorrow...lets keep those paws crossed. PS my behavior is getting better everyday!

week one complete - new training

One week and a day ago, my owner was at her wits end with me. I went hiking at Runyon Canyon, and I was overly aggressive with every dog I came into contact with. It was bad. So my mom read up on re-establishing who the alpha was in the household...not me. I also had to be ignored (minus walks and feeding) for 48 hours. That was hard on everyone. The good news is, we made it through the first week, and I am doing so much better. This is supposed to take a total of 5 weeks of consistent training.
My aggression toward other dogs, is getting better. There is still work to be done, but I am getting the gist of it. Yay that week one is done...now for week two!

My first blog!

Life has been a little crazy for me! I found out that I have a chicken allergy! BOO!!! So I have been switched to a new food. I have been itching less, and that makes me happy. It is super hot today, and I have played my little heart out! I am a tired guy...for the moment.
